This performative event involved the use of my voice, text, singing, as well as movement. Its creation was prompted by an invitation to present at the Homecoming faculty panel presentation, “Crossing Borders: Migration and the Arts”. In her letter of appreciation for my participation, Kathy Wright, Trustee UC Riverside Foundation says: “Your performance made the migrant experience as portrayed in art come alive and provided an opportunity for personal connection for our audience. Our guests thought that your performance was amazing, and one guest commented that he though this year’s panel presentation was the best he had ever attended.”

This solo was also presented in the panel “Secret Journey: Stop Calling Them Dangerous #2”, co-presented by La MaMa in partnership with Movement Research in NYC. Both solos, along with other of my works reflect my advocacy for immigrants and refugees.
